It is VERY possible that it could get worse for a short time before getting better. But, this short amount of time should not last more than 10 days. Acne is a result of oil buildup, bacteria or irritation of the skin. It will take a few days for the Salicylic acid to start working and completely clearing out the skin cell debris in the pore. But-it should NOT get worse. If your acne is getting worse after 14 days, consult your skin specialist.
