Makeup That Cares for Skin
Jane Iredale was a casting director and producer who watched actors struggle with skin made worse by heavy makeup, and asked a simple question: why can't makeup be good for the skin?
In 1994 she launched Amazing Base, a mineral foundation, and built the brand around it. Jane Iredale works with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, estheticians and makeup artists, and is still based in rural Massachusetts.
The Jane Iredale Standard
Cruelty-Free
Jane Iredale lists its makeup as cruelty-free, with no testing on animals.
No Synthetic Fragrances
The brand says its products are free from the fragrances and fillers that can cause irritation.
Sensitivity Tested
Jane Iredale says it tests its formulas to be non-comedogenic and safe for even the most sensitive skin.
Bridal, Event and Lessons
Every bridal and event application at Skin by Caroline uses Jane Iredale. If you would rather do it yourself, a one-on-one lesson teaches you the techniques with the products you will use at home.
