Glytone Glycolic Peel

Plan on forty five to sixty minutes. Caroline examines your skin first, then cleanses and preps it. The glycolic solution goes on in layers, and she watches your skin closely and times each layer to how you are responding. You will feel warmth and some stinging, which fades once the peel is neutralised. She finishes with a calming mask, moisturiser and SPF.

Ideally a series of three to six.

Every skin type responds differently. Expect skin to return to normal within seven days.

Glytone uses glycolic acid; the PCA peels do not contain glycolic acid. Caroline examines your skin before any peel to make sure the right one is being used. If you are not sure which suits you, a skin consultation will settle it.

Anyone with recent sun exposure, retinoid use on the face, eczema or psoriasis, an open lesion, or who is pregnant. Stop all retinoids and actives ten to fourteen days beforehand.

Plan on an hour. Your appointment is a 60 minute slot. The peel itself runs about 45 to 60 minutes depending on your skin and the strength Caroline selects, and she uses the rest of the time on the cleanse, the post-peel care and getting you out the door comfortable rather than rushed.
